Your Role: Business Development Representative (BDR)
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive pipeline growth and lead generation. This role is crucial in identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, engaging with key decision-makers, and fueling our sales funnel.
As the first point of contact with potential customers, you will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to execute outbound campaigns, nurture inbound leads, and set high-quality sales meetings. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and offers significant opportunities for career advancement as you master the fundamentals of enterprise SaaS sales.
Key Objectives
· Become an Expert on Pantomath’s SaaS platform— deeply understand how we solve data observability and analytics challenges for modern businesses.
· Identify, qualify, and generate new sales opportunities, contributing directly to our revenue growth.
· Collaborate with Account Executives to develop territory plans and execute go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and research target accounts using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot.
Make a high volume of daily outreach, follow up strategically, and maintain resilience through rejections—always creatively seeking new ways to break through.
Execute multi-channel outbound prospecting (cold calls, personalized emails, social selling) to engage data leaders, IT executives, and analytics teams.
Onsite prospecting and traveling to events with the Sales and Marketing teams (traveling 25% of the time).
Lead Qualification & Sales Engagement
Conduct discovery calls to uncover pain points and align prospects with Pantomath’s data observability solutions.
Qualify leads based on our ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and schedule high-value meetings for Account Executives.
CRM & Sales Pipeline Management
Keep detailed, accurate and updated records in our CRM.
Support lead sanitization, event follow-ups, and database enrichment to ensure high-quality data.
Track and report on daily/weekly/monthly outreach metrics and lead conversions.
Market Research & Feedback Loop
Stay updated on industry trends in data analytics, governance, observability, and modern data stacks.
Provide feedback to Marketing on prospect challenges, competitor moves, and messaging effectiveness.
Serve as the “eyes and ears” of the Sales team—gather intel that shapes messaging and being able to present these findings to the team during weekly calls.
Qualifications & Experience
· 2+ years of experience in a Business Development, Sales Development (SDR/BDR), or Lead Generation role(preferably in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or cloud/data infrastructure sales).
· Proven ability to meet and exceed lead generation targets in a high-growth environment.
· Strong understanding of SaaS, data management solutions, and enterprise sales cycles a plus.
· Excellent communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills—you’re comfortable talking to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Experience with conferences and industry events, engaging prospects on the show floor and building strong in-person relationships that drive pipeline.
· Familiarity with sales enablement tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong Engage) is a plus, but coachability and hunger to learn matter most.
· Highly organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
